My Progress To Get A FIDE Rating

05.01.2010 - In chess, it is useful and helpful to get a recognised FIDE Rating as you have a target to improve your game as you go along. For me, it looks like that I have not satisfied the “3 games against FIDE Rated players” ruling  yet in any one particular chess tournament.

Getting a FIDE rating  helps in reducing tournament fees in future tournaments and who knows someone may want you on their chess team, as a result.

My journey looks a little distant and plenty of hard work to improve on my chess play. The statistics of my chess games to date on fide.com looks as below:-

I have recorded 3 wins, 3 draws and 10 losses. Not a very good record at all. It requires some improvements and a lot of personal training on my own.

More tactics training, more polished openings, learn some common endgames. Train, train, and more training. Concentrate, concentrate and think through the moves in advance and always choose the best move available.
